NewsDave Matthews Band announces summer tourDave Matthews Band is set to embark on a lengthy US tour, which will kick off the day after they perform the US leg of Live Earth in New Jersey. The band will take a variety of acts on the road, including Toots and the Maytals, Pete Yorn and The Roots. The band will play a handful of shows this month before heading out on a tour of Australia and Europe, which will wrap up in Wembley Arena on May 30. They will perform along with The Police, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow and more at the Live Earth concert on July 7 at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The concert is the US leg of a seven-continent, 24-hour event, which will bring together more than 2 billion people worldwide to combat the climate crisis. The Beatles legend will join up to 60 acts playing at the 350 capacity venue every night in July. Other new acts added to the line-up include The Go! Team (6) and Aqualung (21). Kasabian will close the festival with a headline slot on July 31. Entry is free of charge for competition-winners and all performances will be recorded for sale exclusively in the iTunes store.
